Helping Hands Ministry
Helping Hands Ministry meets on the third Tuesday every month @ 7pm and on the third Thursday every month @ 9:30am in the Fellowship Building here at church. If you have an interest in knitting, crocheting, or sewing and would like to volunteer your time, please come out and join us! We have tow wonderful instructors who can teach you to knit or crochet.
Poplar Tent Presbyterian Women (PTPW) started in 1817 and was called “The Female Tract Society of Poplar Tent Church” and they have been a strong presence in the church since then.  The PTPW meets once a quarter, there are 3 circles that meet monthly, each circle at a different day/time so you can find one that will fit your schedule.  Contact Dawn Smith (PTPW Moderator) or the church office if you have any questions about the PTPW or the circles.
Our Men meet the third Sunday every month @ 8:30 AM in the church basement.  They have a light breakfast, a lesson, prayer and discuss projects that they will do around the church.
10 Cents-A-Meal
The last Sunday of every month, we take up our 10 Cents-A-Meal collection.  This money is used to help feed those in our community that are not as fortunate as others.  The idea is for every meal that you eat during the month, put aside 10 cent.  We not only accept change, but bills work too!
“Verily I say unto you, inasmuch as you have done it unto one of the least of my brothers, you have done it unto me.” – Matthew 25:40
Our Bible Study’s are growing and we want you to be a part of that growth.  We have two studies:  Our “Monday Night Bible Study” meets every Monday night at 6:30 P.M. and our “Brown Bag & Bible Study” meets every Wednesday at noon, both meet in the church basement.  This a time of fellowship, worship, prayer and accountability and we love it. If you want to connect with other Godly people, these are the groups for you!  Contact the church office for more information.
